Blisters after 33 km marathon

I am drinking wine to kill the pain of 2 major blisters after our
marathon of 33km.
There is one on each side of my heal and they are infected.
My friend walked without me while I took the bus.

This is very deflating on the camiio. Lots of tears and to be out of
touch.
I took her rucksack on the bus so she could walk better.

When I got to the village I realized I was walking like the old men. geez.
We have just over 300 km to Santiago. My friend Sibylla may have to
leave early.
She has done this before and has enlightened me to the experience at the
end.
mucho bueno so I must get past this bit.
Great weight loss program. Lots to encounter though.
Hope all are enjoying the excitement of the canucks = what fun...

Bags shipped does help

It is May 24th - I think.

a little update

we had our bags shipped to the next place we planned to stay.
20km away.
what a difference.

i really needed a break on the body.
we have arrived at an oasis.
there is a pool here (very small).

i can´t imagine we have another 400 and more to do.
we have walked over 200.
the weather here is outstanding. the people are great. there are some
crazy early risers, at 5:30 yuk.

we follow the path of yellow arrows and scallop symbols throughout the
cities and villages.
you have to be very careful to watch them. no one wants to walk an
extra bit with their backpack.

its quite a family of pilgrims being built as we loose some and see each
other again later

the afternoon cleanup, consumption and nap is a wonderful think. i hope
you all are well.

All well - got 40.5 KM done - Very Hot

I really wish I would have done this earlier.

It is an amazing journey. Yesterday was 20.5 km today was 22. I am in
the most amazing auberges. That is a hostel.
My feet, knees and thighs are very sore. I am speaking a lot of french.
We are walking through fields of olives, wheat with poppies growing
amongst them and almond trees and rocks and everything.

I can´t imagine finishing this trip the way I feel today.
But I met a woman tonight who has walked 1000km from France and excited
about the next 700km.
She is probably 20 years older than me.

What can you say to that?

I am meeting people from all over the world.

My new dear friend is from Germany and is living almost the same life as
me.
So cool. She left her job and everyone thinks she a little crazy.
The weather is hot by the afternoon.

We had a kitchen to make dinner tonight which was wonderful so we could
have some vegetables.
Wine is extremely cheap. My music keeps me going during the day.
Its amazing what the mind does.

thanks Chris

Thank you so much for the good wishes on Mother's Day. I know you must have had a good one too. It was such a relief to hear from you. And then again today. I was really surprised that we would hear from you so soon. We had a good game of golf today and Donna was pleased with your parcel you sent her.
Walk carefully. We will be thinking for you and praying for your safe journey.
We are so proud of you and love you so much.

Wrap skirt - ultra light - multi purpose

Do I risk adding another 6 ounces to my luggage. Space is so precious
right now.
But the final day is today!
